The Bridge Radio

The Bridge Radio is a new online community radio platform making radio about migration politics, freedom of movements, migrant struggles, deportation and borders. We hope to create a diversity of radio programs that includes discussions, music, entertainment, as well as programs about (colonial-) history or culture.

The Bridge Radio is a media where people in the asylum camps and with experience of migration can share everyday experiences, strategies, ideas for mobilization, tips and tricks. We aim to break theo isolation between the asylum camps and create links to people living outside of the camps. We believe that the exercise of border controls, state control, detention and asylum procedures are oppressive by nature.

The Bridge radio is a community radio for and by people in the asylum system and with migration experience, however in the radio there are also people with citizenship. The Radio group consists of people with different legal status - with and without danish citizenship and with different personal experiences of migration.. We hope to build a broad network of reporters in the camps.
