League of Young Communists - USA

The League of Young Communists(LYC) actively assists and is a reserve of the National Council of Communists, USA(NCC- USA) .

The League’s activities are an implementation of Party policy. According to the constitution of the Soviet YCL (Komsomol),the young communists help educate their generation in the spirit of Communism, engage in the practical construction of a new type of society, and prepare a well rounded generation who will live, work and eventually run the affairs of the vanguard worker’s party. The goal of a member of the LYC must be to become a member of the NCC-USA.

The LYC is headed by leaders of the NCC-USA and is a strong supporter of the policy of the party in all areas of building socialism and eventually communism. The strength of the League of Young Communists comes from its decision making role in the NCC-USA, its ideological conviction and dedication to Marxism – Leninism, a conscious Bolshevik discipline cultivated by the unity within its ranks. LYC members must learn that a Leninist party lives, works, fights and wins collectively.

The main task of the LYC must be to educate young people on the liberating ideas of Marxism-Leninism, the heroic traditions of revolutionary struggle ,the many examples of selfless work of youth in developing and strengthening their generation’s approach to class struggle and all phenomena of social life, and to prepare a persistent, educated, enthusiastic cadre of future builders of scientific socialism and eventually communism.

The duty of the LYC is to prepare a generation of youth to ideologically defend our Marxist-Leninist outlook, educate selfless class conscious youth able to respond resolutely to attacks by any class enemies including those who under the guise of masquerading as “communists” try to pollute our ideology and distract us from our goal of replacing capitalism with scientific socialism.

The LYC educates the younger generation to respect the heroic history of the Communist Party in the United States, the power and greatness of the world communist movement, and the historical achievements of 20th century socialism as exemplified by the 1917 October revolution in Russia, the building of the People’s Democracies in eastern Europe as well as the socialist revolutions in China in 1949, and in Cuba in 1959.
