Korean Federation for Protection of the Disasbled

The Korean Federation for Protection of the Disabled was founded on July 29, Juche 87 (1998) with its original name as the Korean Association for Supporting the Handicapped. For the sake of universal and unified development of the disabled people's affairs in the country, the Korean Association for Supporting the Handicapped was developed into the Korean Federation for Protection of the Disabled on July 27, 2005.

The KFPD is the only non-governmental organization related to the disabled that is approved by the government and includes all the organizations concerned with the disabled people's affairs.
